Qurbani
Qurbani is one of the many programmes conducted by Islamic Relief as part of our fight against hunger.
Last year, Islamic Relief distributed Qurbani meat packs to more than 3.3 million people in 31 countries, which enabled people who only rarely eat meat to sit and celebrate Eid together with a good meal.
In India, over 182,000 families received Qurbani packs were delivered in numerous locations throughout India including, Assam, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Kerala, Delhi, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh.
Beneficiaries included the elderly, disabled, female-headed households, widows and orphans.
