Supporting Orphan Education through Health Assistance and Treatment
The overall objective of the project is to enable 12000 orphans and their sibling access to education through improving the health status of their families.
Under this project, IRA will target Kabul, Bamyan, Balkh and Nangarhar provinces to support orphans education and in the meantime provide hygiene promotion and health education awareness in the targeted provinces. Following are the provinces the project is currently going on:
- Kabul: the project will cover districts number 4,5,8,9 and 10 in the centre of Kabul where only 11, 12 and 16 districts are already covered under IR Canada SEHAT project and IRA 1-2-1 orphans sponsorship program.
- Bamyan: This project will cover the rural area of central Bamyan, and Yakawlang district where urban centre Bamyan is already covered by IR Canada SEHAT project and as well 1-2-1 orphans sponsorship program.
- Nangarhar: the project will cover Behsood, Kama and Khewa (three) districts, while central Jalal Abad and Surkh road are already covered by IR Canada SEHAT project and as well 1-2-1 orphans sponsorship program.
- Balkh: Mazar City is the centre of Balkh which has 10 Police Districts (PD) out of which five districts (5-9) are already covered by IR Canada SEHAT project and as well 1-2-1 orphans sponsorship program. This project will coverĀ the remaining PDs and as well two other Balkh districts ( Nahre Shahi and Dehdadi)
