On date 17th to 21st November 2019, Islamic Relief Afghanistan held Annual Retreat 2019 in Herat province of Afghanistan. The Retreat provided an incredible opportunity for more than 40 IR Afghanistan staffs to discuss on strengthen and weakness points of the programs/ projects activities, exchange their lessons learnt, enhance capacity, and explore the city of Herat with its ancient places. In the inauguration of the program, government officials from Directorate of Economy, Labor and Social Affairs and ACBAR agency; congratulated IR Afghanistan for its impactful activities in Afghanistan and expressed their promise for better future coordination. As part of Retreat agenda, Country Business Plan 2019 and Country Strategy 2017 – 2021 reviewed by the participants and suggested for the CBP for 2020 with constructive suggestions shared with the management team. Moreover, in order to enhance the capacity of staff; training sessions on Humanitarian Core Standard, Child Protection, Safeguarding, IRW Compliant Response Mechanism, Protection and Inclusion, and 16 Days of Activism conducted which caught the interest of participants and counted more productive. At the end the best performance of the year, the best presenter and managing team prized.
